About Elaine

Image description

Before training as a homeopath Elaine worked in the legal profession for many years then moved into freelance proofreading and copy editing. Along the way she also qualified as a reflexologist and spent several years practising in Devon.

Elaine is a graduate of the School of Homeopathy in Stroud and holds their Practitioner Advanced Diploma in Homeopathy (UK). In her clinical practice she works in accordance with a strict Code of Ethics and has full professional insurance cover. When working with patients Elaine aims to provide a safe, confidential space where people can feel heard, understood and supported. Before the consultation begins she will usually spend a few moments talking about homeopathy and explaining how she works. What happens next is largely down to the patient. Although she asks questions, Elaine will never interrupt or make anyone feel rushed or hurried. Every patient has plenty of time to describe their physical symptoms and anything else that may be troubling them. Patients describe her as friendly, approachable and easy to talk to. During their consultation they may discuss something they have not spoken about for years, or remember some experience or incident they had completely forgotten about. Homeopathy is a holistic therapy that always treats the whole person. How the patient thinks and feels, how they react to stress, how they respond to other people and their environment - these and many other issues may well be explored during the course of a homeopathy session.

Rather than prescribe their remedy straight away, Elaine prefers to analyse a patient’s case in detail and select a remedy with care. As a practising homeopath her task is to identify the patient's "simillimum" - i.e. the homeopathic remedy that is most similar to their overall symptom picture and general level of health. Having given that remedy, she is always ready to answer questions and deal with any queries or concerns in between appointments. If you would like to work with her, please use the contact form on this website or send an email to elainegoodehomeopathy@gmail.com. Or book a free 30 minute "discovery" phone call and chat to Elaine before you decide what to do.
